How To Cleanse the Whole Body by Detoxification

Cleansing the whole body by Detoxification has been a lengthy discussion ever since.  There is still some controversy as to whether or not a body detox will actually benefit you what so ever.  This is one of those times when doing your due diligence along with research will always be called for.  To detox or not, is your choice.  The better informed you are, the better choice you will make.

And to one extent or another, they both just feel G O O D! Other types of body detoxification will require a certain amount of expenditure and, most probably, discomfort.

As with lurking illnesses and diseases that we are all immune to, even healthy people should not overlook the benefits of doing a body detox.

Our organs are working for us continuously.   Two major organs, the liver and kidneys constantly protect our bodies by cleaning out unwanted pollutants like smoke, caffeine and chemicals from all the products we purchase.  By employing the use of a good detox program for your body, you can help strengthen your organs back to its optimal function.

As mentioned previously you can do less invasive types of detoxing you body, but to really get to the heart of the matter, a good body detox may mean a certain amount of discomfort for the body through fasting -(the willful act of abstaining from some or all food for a certain length of time) .

This has the tenancy to rest the organs and stimulate the liver to push toxins out of your body.  By nourishing your body with healthy nutrients at the same time as expelling toxins from it, you are helping your own body to attain optimum health.   (While your doing your own research, you may also notice that this method of body detoxification has been practiced by many cultures around the world.

Although a lot of people want whole body detoxification, some want to have a detox on a particular organ only, such as their kidney, liver or colon.  While doing a kidney cleanse, you will be using herbal supplements and juices to dissolve kidney stones and wash them out of your body.  If a liver cleanse is your thing, you will probably eat certain foods that cause the gall bladder and liver to remove fatty deposits and toxins out of the body.  A cleansing colon cleanse on the other hand, will require gentle flushes using water.

Other techniques used in whole body cleansing process include such things as:

Parasite cleaning – This requires the use of a certain amount of pills or tinctures that are made out of bitter herbs.  These are consumed for the purpose of building an environment that parasites inside the body are not really fond of.

Contrast Shower – You’re basically shocking your body with contrasting temperatures using hot and cold water.  This helps to enhance your circulation, detoxifying your body to strengthen your immune system. A other benefit is how it enables the body to take in oxygen, nutrients and immune cells and directs it towards damaged and stressed tissue and flushes it out as metabolic waste and other toxins.

Sauna, yoga, exercise, raw food dieting and dry skin brushing also enhance the body’s natural cleansing process.

Other Detoxifying aids

There are a number of safe products which can be purchased in many stores that can aid in your cleansing process.  This can include:

  • cleansing supplement packages (with easy-to-follow instructions)
  • detox foot patches
  • commercially prepared detox teas
  • Epsom salts
  • high-class multivitamins for daily intake
  • and antioxidants like Q10 and E that can be found at health food stores.

Before and after side effects:

As the procedures differ, so do the benefits.

During your body detox, you will probably feel some side effects over the first few days.  This may or may not include:

  • headaches
  • weakness
  • muscle soreness
  • crankiness (mood changes)
  • insomnia (sleeplessness)

Along with the bad news, of course, is the good news – the positive side effects of cleansing your body with detoxification.  Just remember, the good usually comes after the bad.  In other words, you may have to go through the discomforts first before getting to the good stuff.

Some of these positive side effects, which may occur days after the cleansing process may include:

  • more energy,
  • greater mental clarity
  • clearer skin
  • better sleep
  • positive attitude…time for a fresh start

Done properly, body detoxification is safe and very beneficial for our health and well being.  It has been suggested many times that we all should get onto some kind of detox program on a yearly basis at the least.  Besides the fact that we should also consult with our physicians  before undertaking any detox program, this fact especially pertains to children, nursing mothers and patients with cancer, chronic degenerative illness and tuberculosis.  If they don’t consult with their doctor they should at least retain the services of someone very familiar with body detox, like a nutritional therapist.

To find one in your neighborhood should not be too difficult.  Try calling your friends, or visit a local health food store and see if you can get a referral.  Your local Yellow Pages may also be a big help.   When you find someone, don’t forget to continue with your research.  Check to see how abundant their name is.  See if they’re accredited and ask how long they’ve been in service.
